Garment Care
General Instructions: Wash only when necessary. Consider spot cleaning. If a full wash is needed, machine OR hand wash cold on gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or line dry away from direct sunlight.
Special Instructions:
Indigo dyed/overdyed/upcycled: Wash separately or with like colors the first few washes in case there is any residual dye in the garment.
Vintage fabrics: Some of these pieces are delicate, so we recommend hand washing to ensure you will enjoy your OOAK piece for many, many years. #lovedclotheslast
Size Guide
Product descriptions include garment-specific fit information and many of our garments are over-sized and intended to fit a wide range of body types. We strongly recommend knowing the circumference of your full bust (not your bra size) and your hips.
How to measure your full bust:
1. Preparation:
- Find a flexible tape measure.
- Wear a fitted or thin shirt, or measure without a shirt to avoid inaccuracies from bulky fabric.
- Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides. Avoid slouching or puffing out your chest.
2. Taking the Measurement:
- Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, typically around the nipples and under the armpits.
- Ensure the tape is horizontal and level all the way around.
- The tape should be snug but not too tight – you should be able to fit a finger or two underneath.
- Breathe normally and don't hold your breath.
3. Recording the Measurement:
- Read the measurement where the end of the tape meets the rest.
- For greater accuracy, you can take the measurement twice and average the results.
- If possible, have someone help you ensure the tape is level and in the correct position.
How to measure your hips:
1. Preparation:
- Find a flexible tape measure.
- Stand with your feet 4-6 inches apart.
2. Taking the Measurement:
- Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your hips/buttocks.
- Ensure the tape is horizontal and level all the way around.
- The tape should be snug but not too tight – you should be able to fit a finger or two underneath.
3. Recording the Measurement:
- Read the measurement where the end of the tape meets the rest.
- For greater accuracy, you can take the measurement twice and average the results.
- If possible, have someone help you ensure the tape is level and in the correct position.
